Google Turns 23
The Google super search engine is celebrating its birthday today.

Google, everyone's favourite search engine, turned 23 on Monday, and the business made sure to commemorate the occasion with a doodle on its homepage. The Google doodle, as shown in the image above, displays a cake with the number 23 inscribed on top of it, with a birthday candle replacing the L in "Google."
Google History
Larry Page and Sergey Brin launched Google on September 4, 1998, while both were studying as PHD students at Stanford University in California. They own roughly 14% of the company's publicly traded shares and, through super-voting stock, control 56% of stockholder voting power.
In 2004, the company launched an IPO and became public. In 2015, Google restructured as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. On 24 October 2015, Sundar Pichai appointed CEO of Google, succeeding Larry Page, who appointed the CEO of Alphabet. Pichai was also became CEO of Alphabet on December 3, 2019. The Alphabet Workers Union, which is primarily made up of Google employees, was created in 2021.
