Foreign Secretary of India Harsh Vardhan Shringla told reporters at a press conference that he has expressed India's desire for "immediate safe passage" for all Indian people trapped in Kharkiv and other crisis zones to Russian and Ukrainian envoys.

Modi Expressed Sadness Over Death of Student

PM Narendra Modi expressed great sadness over the death of an Indian person in Kharkiv at a high-level conference on the Ukraine issue, he said.

The current situation in Kharkiv, Sumy, and other war zones are continues to worry us, Shringla said.

Indian Airforce Special Flights for Indian in Ukraine

The Indian citizens will be flown back in 26 Flight over the next three days, he said in press briefing. According to Shringla, a C-17 IAF aircraft will depart for Romania at 4 a.m. on Wednesday to repatriate our citizens.

After crossing the border into Romania and Hungary, India has operated planes to return Indians back to India.

Prime Minister Modi received a call from French President Emmanuel Macron, according to Shringla. Modi also spoke with Poland's President.
