About 90% of COVID patients can be safely handled at home, according to ICMR guideline/Physicians, and not every patient needs hospitalization. Even if COVID is suspected and testing is delayed, taking the right measures at the right time will greatly reduce the COVID risk and avoid panic at the last minute. Early preparedness with limited resources can save matters from turning the case worse.

During the Corona period, problems like cold-cough and flu should not be taken lightly. Special attention needs to be paid to health at this time. Despite this, if you get a cold and cough, do not panic, but adopt these actions immediately:

Don’t Ignore Covid-19 Symptoms:

In the second wave of Coronavirus infections, cases are more likely to be found in the younger population, who are more likely to skip or cache normal symptoms and develop serious symptoms later.

The first step is to become acutely conscious of the potential signs and symptoms. We don't have an exhaustive list of symptoms because it's a new virus. A high fever, congestion, breathlessness, irregular skin rashes, runny, swollen eyes, vomiting, muscle pain, a sore throat, aches and headaches, and loss of taste or smell are all signs to be wary of, at least for the time being.

Steps after getting Covid-19 Symptoms:

Isolate Yourself & Get Tested for Covid-19

If you are experiencing any of the above-mentioned Covid-19 symptoms, isolate yourself and avoid coming into contact with others, whether at home or outside. Make an appointment for a test and quarantine yourself at home until the results are negative.

Isolate yourself from your immediate family by wearing a mask. It would be a safe way to avoid the spread of infectious disease and get some much-needed rest, even though it turns out to be something non-COVID. Divide the utilities and utensils you'll need for the next two weeks into two piles. Under no circumstances can they be shared with the rest of the family. To avoid exposure risk, anyone in your immediate vicinity should also get a COVID examination.

If you living in share basis and are unable to isolate on your own, isolate yourself in a well-ventilated space with a separate toilet.

Caution:

Wear a N95 Mask and also wear hand globes while going to toilet or touching any surface in shared accommodations. Sanitizing   hand after wearing globes will eliminate the chance of virus to spread.

Whenever toilet is used by a suspected covid-19 infected person all other person should sanitize the toilet before using. Please extreme precaution should be taken to  avoid getting covid-19.

Coronavirus is a type of virus that causes heart (covid-19) Testing should be prioritized. Although spotting symptoms is important, it's also important to keep track of the order in which they occur. Unfortunately, many people are testing negative, even though they have symptoms, as a result of tests performed too early. The incubation period of the Coronavirus is 2-14 days from the time of infection to the onset of symptoms. The best time to take the test is three days after the first symptoms of infection appear. Of course, tests should be conducted early, but keep in mind that false negatives are still a possibility.

Inform your doctor about your condition. They can give you more guidance if you're at a high risk of complications due to your age or other medical conditions.

Don't depend on self-medication and just have what you need. If you can, however, stock up on critical health trackers and monitor your vitals on a regular basis. Oximeters, contactless thermometers, blood pressure machines, and sanitizing wipes should all be available at all times.
