Tara Air Plane Crash: Wreckage of missing Tara Air plane found, all 22 people dead

Pokhra: Nepali search teams discovered the wreckage of a missing passenger plane on Monday, according to media reports, local said no one is alive, all 22 person onboard dead due to crash. Some of the dead bodies are beyond recognition condition. 14 body pulled out so far from crash site, all dead bodies will be brought to Kathmandu for postmortem.

The twin otter aircraft flown by Tara Air that crashed has been found in the Mustang district's Thasang area.

The Nepal Army, which has been coordinating and conducting the search operation, claimed it had discovered the missing person in the Thasang 2 area and that "with the weather improving, the search team will soon be heading there."

The hunt has been resumed... The weather hasn't changed much in the last few days. Two search & rescue helicopters have flown toward the location but have yet to land, he said. search and rescue activities are underway.

The Tara Air bearing registration number 9N AET  plane crashed at the mouth of the Lamche river under the landslide of Manapathi Himal, according to information given to the Nepal Army by villagers. The Nepal Army is reaching towards the crash site by road and air routes, according to army spokesperson Narayan Silwal.

The plane was sighted over Jomsom in Mustang and then diverted to Mt. Dhaulagiri, where it didn't come into contact.

The Plane was 43 Years Old

The missing aircraft of Tara Airlines Nepal is a De Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter with registration 9N-AET and serial number 619. This aircraft made it's first flight in April 1979 (43 years old). It was operated by Tara Air.

In 2016, a Tara Air Twin Otter plane with 23 persons on board went missing and the plane's wreckage was discovered near Dana village in Myagdi district. The fatal crash killed all 23 people on board.
