Kolkata: KK was performing at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata for Gurudas College's festival.
Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, better known as KK, died this evening in Kolkata, where he was performing (May 31). He was 53 years old at the time.
After the show, the playback singer fell and was transferred to a private hospital in the city.
On Tuesday night, singer K K passed away. According to hospital authorities, the singer became ill while performing at an event in Kolkata and was taken to the CMRI hospital, where he was declared dead.

The multi-talented vocalist, who rose to fame following his debut album "Pal," has recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali.
The playback singer, who debuted in 1996, has a long list of chart-topping hits in Bollywood, including Tadap Tadap from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Dus Bahane from Dus, and Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai from Woh Lamhe, among many more.
