Anemia is described as a reduction in the total number of red blood cells (RBCs) or hemoglobin in the blood, as well as a reduction in the blood's capacity to carry oxygen. Anemia caused by a lack of iron in the body is known as iron deficiency anemia.

Like women, the risk of anemia in children is very high because the number of red blood cells in children - the normal count is 4.0 to 5.5 million cells per microliter (µL).

When the rate of destruction of red particles or cells in the blood is higher than the rate of their formation.  Then in such a situation there is a deficiency of red blood cells in the body (anemia), which is called anemia.  In the case of anemia, the amount of healthy red blood cells in the body is reduced by a level, due to which oxygen does not reach in all parts of the body in sufficient quantity and there is always a situation like weakness, nervousness and fatigue.

Folate is also found in leafy greens like Swiss chard and collard greens. Folate deficiency anemia can be caused by a low-folate diet. Folate is contained in citrus fruits, beans, and whole grains. 

There's a catch when it comes to eating dark, leafy greens for iron. Some iron-rich greens, such as spinach and kale, also contain a lot of oxalates. Oxalates can bind to iron and prevent nonheme iron from being absorbed.
